There are no internal universal joints, valves, dead corners, or glands to impede flow and these pumps are reversible for back-flushing lines. They can also run dry indefinitely without damage and provide up to a 30’ suction lift. Watson-Marlow Bredel, Wilmington, MA, 800-282-8823, www.watson-marlow.com
Hydraulic submersible pump
Thompson Pump has developed an automatic start/stop system for hydraulic submersible pumps. Typical hydraulic power units require manual start and stop, manual needle valve adjustment and manual speed adjustment. Thompson’s system energizes and de-energizes the hydraulic circuit while automatically adjusting the speed of the hydraulic power unit. This minimizes labor costs and allows for considerable fuel savings. Automatic throttle control allows the engine to warm-up and cool-down, thereby, reducing engine wear. Engine-powered portable pumps range from 2”-18” for use in varied applications in public works, municipalities, construction, agriculture, dewatering, mining, sewer/lift stations, and water/waste water. Metering pump
EMEC Americas new microprocessor controlled metering pump automatically calculates the ppm of required chemical concentration based on flow rate received from an inline meter. Since this calculation isn’t static to flow, the new MF Series metering pump increases accuracy of critical ppm chemical injection applications by adjusting dosing as flow rate changes. More accurate chemical dosing better meets application needs, increases safety and saves money by eliminating overdosing. With a 5-year diaphragm warranty, it’s ideal for water treatment injection of chlorine, fluoride, rust and scale inhibitors, biocides, sulfides and amines, as well as pH control and RO system membrane treatment. The pump handles flow rates of .025-15.85 gph at pressures of 29-363 psi. End options include acrylic-polymethyl methacrylate, PVDF and SS.
