Filtration modules
Porex Corporation's Porex® Filtration Division has shipped the first commercial orders for its new 61 tube crossflow filtration module. This new configuration provides 61 one-half inch diameter tubes for 45.75 sq. ft. of high solids concentrating surface area per module. The modules feature unique structural membrane tubes, where the membrane is substantially anchored in, or chemically fused to the sintered porous plastic substrate tube.
The WS Series™ control panels are advanced simplex and duplex systems controlled by SEEwater's "Smart Board" and designed for wastewater and sewage pump applications. The panels come standard with NEMA 4X enclosure, upgraded pump protection, pump fault indicators and auxiliary contacts for accessing building management systems (SCADA). Custom options are available upon request. All panels manufactured by SEEwater are 100% factory tested and ARRA Certified.
OpenCEL's focused pulse sludge pre-treatment systems enhance anaerobic digester performance and provide supplemental carbon addition to be used for denitrification. Using Waste Activated Sludge (WAS) from the system, digesters can produce more biogas which will be converted to energy. Moreover, biosolids output from a plant will be reduced, saving disposal costs and reducing a plant's environmental impact.
Bellacide® 303 biocide is a broad spectrum, single drum treatment designed to eliminate biofilm, algae, fungus, and bacteria, including Legionella pneumophila. Synergistic with oxidizers, the biocide improves the performance of dual biocide programs due to its superior activity against biofilm and algae. When used in combination with halogens, it can provide over 50% cost reduction compared to isothiazolone.
The redesigned Enterprise Aspirating Mixer by Air-O-Lator Corp. provides a more energy and cost efficient option for aerating and mixing. The retooled unit yields increased airflow, pumpage rate, and thrust, plus it is easier to install. The mixer uses a high volume, axial flow, propeller pump design that operates within a close tolerance throat. The water that is propelled from the throat and forced through a specially designed venturi nozzle more than doubles the velocity of the fluid pumped.
The Netherlocks Power Wrench portable valve actuator facilitates operation of manual valves for process industry employees while contributing to safe working conditions. It is capable of opening and closing any size, type or number of manually operated valves, making it a cost effective alternative to multiple actuators.
Chemical feed system Fluid Metering offers the Chloritrol® valveless chemical feed system to accurately inject concentrated hypochlorite for water and wastewater treatment applications. The company's patented technology uses one moving part, a rotating and reciprocating ceramic piston to accomplish both pumping and valving functions, thereby eliminating check valves and associated maintenance. The patented fluidics easily handle chemicals that out-gas.
WEG has launched a variable speed drive with embedded micro-PLC. The CFW500 range of inverter drives are available in power ratings from 0.18 kW up to 22 kW and are designed to be versatile for many industrial automation applications including centrifugal and process pumps, fans, compressors and conveyors. The drives are based on modular plug and play design. They include a built-in micro-PLC, which can be programmed according to standard protocol IEC 61131-3.
Markland offers a Suspended Solids Density Meter that monitors the concentration of primary and secondary sludge in municipal/industrial wastewater biosolids treatment. It is used in open top tanks and pipelines. The sensor is non-intrusive, and can measure concentrations too thick for optical methods. It uses non-radioactive ultrasound (no approvals needed). Readings are not affected by color of particulates/fluid. The meter enables effective, efficient polymer/chemical dosing, and calculation of Solids Mass Flow.
