BEAVERTON, Ore. — Oregon-based water purification company Puralytics has received an Innovation in Sustainability Award from Sustainable Business Oregon and a 2013 Global Honour Award from the International Water Association, according to an article by Sustainable Business Oregon.
Puralytics won the International Water Association award for providing access to safe drinking water in Malawi, Africa, the article reported.
According to the article, earlier this year Puralytics patented its LED Activated Nanotechnology Water Purifier, which destroys contaminants without yielding any waste discharge.
Also this year, in September, Puralytics announced that it had attracted $3.7 million worth of Series A investments, the article noted.
