Aquacycl makes energy-neutral wastewater treatment a reality, offering modular on-site systems to treat high-strength organic waste streams. Aquacycl’s patented distributed treatment system can reduce greenhouse gases of wastewater treatment by 10%, improve corporate water stewardship and improve access to clean water.

Aquacycl provides the only solution for treating ultra-high strength organic wastewater that is the most difficult and costly to treat. Food & beverage producers generate waste streams 1,000 times more concentrated than the typical sewer. Our system is the first commercially viable microbial fuel cell, which generates direct electricity from wastewater, treating untreatable streams and reducing wastewater management costs by 20-60%.

Our systems are sold as a service, meaning there is no capital expenditures for our customers. Service contracts are executed through multi-year agreements with mutually agreed performance objectives. The modular, containerized system provides a small footprint and flexibility, allowing companies to scale up and down as needed. The systems are energy neutral, generating direct electricity that can be used to self-power and reducing energy and chemical consumption of downstream treatment
