A third contract extension has been awarded to Aquatech to provide boiler feed water treatment using reverse osmosis (RO) at Reliance Industries Limited's PTA (purified terephthalic acid) manufacturing unit in Hazira, Gujarat, India.

The company will help to provide enhanced water production from the demineralization plant, which includes patented High Efficiency Reverse Osmosis (HERO™) technology, producing boiler feed water.

Under the terms of the contract, Aquatech will provide a 3rd stage RO unit to increase the overall recovery of the treatment system by 10% and achieve a proportional reduction in operating cost.

Aquatech has been providing operations and maintenance (O & M) services for this plant for more than three years. The plant uptime is more than 98%, and the specified water quality and quantity have been consistently achieved.

Wex Technologies, an Aquatech group company, is also providing chemical treatment services at this site for its cooling tower. Aquatech, in alliance with Wex, is uniquely positioned in the market by providing Integrated Water Services to its industrial clients.
