SARASOTA COUNTY, Fla. — A break in a water main over the weekend in Sarasota, Fla. led to a boil water advisory being issued, according to My Suncoast News.
The warning was issued while repairs began on the water main near the Pelican Cove Condominiums.
Service was interrupted for about 1,000 Sarasota County Utilities customers, noted the article.
The county does not believe the drinking water has been contaminated, but Florida law requires utilities to issue a warning when pressure is lost in water mains.
