Protect dataloggers from biofouling
The Model 3001 Biofoul Screen is designed to significantly reduce the amount of biofouling buildup on Solinst Levelogger water level datalogger pressure sensors, when deployed for extended periods in harsh environments. It also protects the conductivity cell of an LTC Levelogger Junior. The Biofoul Screen’s copper coil naturally resists biofouling, affordably improving maintenance and long-term performance of Levelogger sensors.
AA Thread Seal Tape’s Polywrap is a polyethylene encasement that protects ductile iron pipe, valves, and fittings from corrosion by creating a barrier between the corrosive solid and the pipe. The wrap also has a high dielectric strength making it ideal for protection against stray currents in the ground that also may contribute to premature corrosion. Polywrap is easily installed by the contractor hired to lay the pipe and requires no special training to install. Quality of the wrap is strictly maintained by the ANSI/AWWA C105/A21.5 standard which sets minimum tolerances for thickness, elongation, dielectric strength, puncture resistance, tear resistance, and thickness.
Chemicals company Rivertop Renewables’ Waterline corrosion inhibitors and chelating agents provide alternatives to phosphate-based options in water treatment formulations. Using a proprietary sugar acid technology, the company offers a range of organic corrosion and scale inhibitors. Waterline SI chelating agents are designed to help control and prevent hard water scale accumulation, while Waterline CI corrosion inhibitors offer formulation flexibility.
Fortrans Inc. has developed a new way to produce low cost de-aerated water by integrating the company’s patented Dif-Jet gas injector into batch production of de-aerated water in storage tanks. The Dif-Jet device is used to efficiently inject and mix nitrogen gas into a pressurized water pipe which is then discharged into and circulated in a tank of water. The nitrogen, being highly soluble in water, will force the oxygen out of the water without requiring a vacuum pump, heat or other device. The oxygen is vented out of the top of the tank automatically, preventing harmful corrosion.
Flowtite® Fiberglass Reinforced Pipe (FRP) takes full advantage of the specific characteristics of basic raw materials to create strong, corrosion-proof pipe and pipe components. Flowtite® is lightweight, long-lasting, and extremely resistant to both inner and outer corrosion. This makes it a reliable, cost-effective solution to water, sewer, and industrial piping applications, and it’s available in a variety of standard pressure classes up to 450 psi depending on diameter, four different stiffness classes, and diameters ranging from 4” to 156”.
The Foreverbolt NL-19 treatment is an advanced corrosion protection that modifies the surface of stainless steel products, producing a brighter finish, increased strength, and superior corrosion resistance without affecting the fastener’s exterior dimensions. The company offers an ever-growing number of NL-19 treated fasteners for use in the water treatment industry.
