LATHAM, N.Y. — The Eastern Water Quality Association (EWQA) recently held its first Water Treatment Systems Training Event in Saratoga Springs, N.Y., April 30 and May 1.
The Water Technology editorial team was in attendance at the event, which the Association hopes to make an annual event for dealers, manufacturers and water system operators throughout its 13-state membership area.
Editorial Director Rich DiPaolo caught up with Tim Jansen, EWQA board member, at the event to find out why water industry professionals should attend these training events and to get a sneak peek of the Association’s upcoming conference and trade show, scheduled for this September 24, 25 and 26.
“In our particular region we’re blessed with some pretty good water supply so we don’t have as many issues as the rest of the country,” said Jansen. “However, we’re concerned, of course, with safety, emerging technologies, the environment [and] green technologies.”
