Its amperometric sensing technology provides an improved solution over traditional chlorine monitoring by enabling more accurate measurement in real-time and eliminating the need for reagents. Typical uses include primary/secondary disinfection, water distribution, de-chlorination, algae growth prevention, slime (bio-film) control, and taste and odor control. The 4630 incorporates a clear flow cell, flow regulator, sensors, filter and rotameter all in one compact unit.
The 2551 and 2552 Magmeter Flow Sensors feature no moving parts to wear or foul, high accuracy sensing, empty pipe detection and bidirectional flow capabilities. The units measure flow in fluids containing a high content of particles, solids and fibers, making them ideal for applications with dirty fluids.
The Signet 2551 Magmeter is an insertion style electro-magnetic flow sensor. Frequency/S3L output is bidirectional, while the 4 to 20 mA output can be set for single or bidirectional flow. Performance characteristics include a dynamic flow range of 0.15 to 33 ft/s (0.05 to 10 m/s) with repeatability of ±0.5 percent of reading. Superior linearity of ±1 percent reading provides performance in harsh environments.
The Signet 2552 Metal Magmeter, a rugged insertion flow sensor, permits hot-tap access to the pipe stream. This design allows quick, easy installation or maintenance without system shutdown, reducing overall costs. Three output choices are incorporated into a durable metal housing. It can be mounted into pipe sizes from 2 to 48 inches (DN50 to DN1200) and features a dynamic flow range of 0.15 to 33 ft/s (0.05 to 10 m/s) with repeatability of ±0.5 percent of reading at 25°C.
NETZSCH to showcase pump technology at WEFTEC 2018
NETZSCH Pumps North America will showcase its pump technology in Booth #1319 at WEFTEC 2018. The N.Mac Twin Shaft Grinder on display is designed to fragment a variety of materials and is ideal for wastewater treatment, biogas and biomass plants, food, animal processing and other waste and industrial applications. Featuring cartridge cutting knives for quick, simple replacement and servicing, the N.Mac offers quenched lubricated mechanical seals for dry running capability. The mechanical seal cartridge design – a leak-free combination of mechanical seal and bearing cartridges – enables quick, simple replacement and servicing. Available in both channel and inline (flanged) housing construction, the N.Mac can be installed into effluent channels or upstream from a pump.
Also to be highlighted is the low-maintenance FSIP NEMO progressing cavity pump and its new xLC unit. Providing full access to all of the pump’s rotating parts, the FSIP pump allows users to conveniently open the pump cavity on-site and dismantle all rotating parts and simply install them again without having to remove the pump or disconnect the piping. This reduces installation complexity and maintenance time. The new addition to the NEMO’s portfolio, the xLC unit, triples the service life of the pump, particularly when conveying difficult, abrasive media. When wear occurs in the rotor-stator system, the new xLC unit allows the performance of the pump to be re-established by adjusting the preload between the conveyor elements. NEMO progressing cavity pumps offer continuous, pressure-stable, gentle and low-pulsation conveyance of almost any substance, including sludge. NEMO FSIP is available in six sizes (NM045 to NM105) for flow rates over 800 gallons per minute.
The iFD-Stator 2.0 showcased at the booth features a two-part, reusable stator housing and replaceable elastomeric stator. The iFD-Stator 2.0 design combines efficiency, economy and environmental safety in one system. Compatible with NEMO NM series progressing cavity pumps NM21 through NM063 with larger sizes in development, the iFD-Stator 2.0 reduces energy and maintenance costs.
Also on display will be the TORNADO T2 Rotary Lobe Pump, with its FSIP design. This self-priming, valve-less, positive displacement pump is ideal for any kind of liquid, including media containing gas, solids or fibrous matter.
